Finding Books

Search @UW

  1. Do a search for your topic.
  2. Click Books, under Resource Type in the Left Column.
    • This will bring up books and e-books that are available in the entire UW system.
  3. To just find UW Fox Valley books, use the Library option in the left column. Click UW Colleges Fox Valley Library.
    • Write down the Call Number to find the book on the shelf in the UWFox library.
  4. OR: Click on Get It to order a book from a different library.
    • Sign in with your campus username and password
  5. For a UW Colleges item click “Local Request.” If not available click “UW Request”
    • For a Local Request choose “UW Fox Library” for pick up location and click “Local Request”
    • For “UW Request” scroll down and click “request.”

Finding Full Text Articles

Finding full text articles is easier than ever. Search @UW only has full text articles!

  1. Do a search for your topic
  2. To see only Peer-Reviewed Journals, click Peer-Reviewed Journals
  3. When you find a good title, click View It Now to link to a full text copy of the article.
    • From Off-Campus you will be asked to log-in with your campus username and password.
  4. Click the link that appears to be taken to a copy of the article that you can read, print, save or e-mail.
