What is NoodleTools

NoodleTools is a comprehensive and accurate MLA/APA style bibliography composer on the web. First create your NoodleTools account, then create your works cited/bibliography page.

Creating a NoodleTools account

  1. Click here to go to NoodleTools.
  2. Click Create Personal ID
  3. Complete the form by filling in a user name and password.
  4. Fill in the Log-in Retrieval information
  5. Click Register
  6. Once you have registered on-campus, you may then access your NoodleTools account from any internet connection.

Creating a Bibliography/Works Cited page

1.  Go to the create a new project button on the right side of the page. 

2.  Choose your citation style (APA/MLA/Chicago/Turabian).

3.  Choose "Advanced" citation level.

4.  Describe or give a Title to your project.

5.   Click "Create Project"

6.   Click on 'Bibliography" at the top of the page.

7.   Select your citation type in the drop down box and click "Create Citation".


8.   Fill in the blanks with the information you have about the source (title, author, date, etc.).

9.   When you have completely filled in the necessary information, click "Submit".

10.  Make a separate entry for each item used to write your paper.

11.  Click the "Print/Export Button" to create a word document that you may print or save.
