Introduction to Style Guides

Style guides describe citing conventions for the organization or publication that has developed the style.  A style guide will provide examples of difference types of citations formatted into proper style.

Style guides are usually published in book form, but there are sources on the internet that can answer quick questions about using the most common styles:  MLA, APA, or Chicago/Turabian.

Use the list to the left for some helpful sites.
