Welcome to the guide for students enrolled in Meg Onoda's course, "Mathematics for Elementary Teachers."  I constructed this guide to help you meet one of the requirements of your class: to submit a brief report on one article per month from a professional journal. 

The focus of our searching will be to identify and retrieve articles emphasizing "open-ended problem solving using manipulatives for concept development and understanding" and mathematical "learning activities involving critical thinking skills and cooperative learning groups." (quotes are from the course syllabus)
